What is IDPA

The use of practical equipment  and simulated “real world” self-defense scenarios.   We are required to use handguns and holsters that are truly suitable for everyday concealed carry.   This is a fun shooting sport that allows you to test your shooting skills as well as improve those skills and gain confidence.   Learn more at http://www.idpa.com/

Who May Participate

IDPA is based on the ability of each individual shooter.  Novice to Master shooters have a place in this sport.  We do require our shooters to be "SAFE & RESPONSIBLE" .  Men & Women, Young & Old... all are welcome (must be 18 yrs old  to attend without a parent or guardian).

Do I Have To Join IDPA?

An IDPA Membership gives you the ability to compete in official sanctioned matches. With the new IDPA.com, you have an endless amount of resources available. From connecting to other shooters to exploring media, to viewing your scores. Membership to IDPA is not required to participate in CAPS Club matches, but is is strongly encouraged to support the sport.  IDPA membership and classification is required if you want to participate in sanctioned matches.

What are the Rules?

Official rules can be found here IDPA Rule Book.   There is a lot of information in this document so if it feels overwhelming, don't let that stop you from coming out and joining us.  We are a "New Shooter" friendly club, and it is our mission to introduce the sport by having helpful Safety Officers and club members on hand to ensure a safe and fun experience.  Spectators are always welcome.
